Never Let's Me Down

Very few things never disappoint. I have been taking stock over my life the last few weeks of what is important and what I cannot live without. Amongst the obvious things like my family, my church, and my bulldawgs i found an interesting category of things that never disappoint.

A couple things that never let me down are Dr. Pepper and saturday morning.

Dr. Pepper is clearly the sweetest nectar in the world. I truly believe it has healing power. They say that it is healthy to smile therefore it is healthy for me to drink Dr. Pepper because it makes me smile. Also, it's origin is rumored to be linked to a cough syrup. One way or another it is a current blessing of mine that I am enjoying even now as I write these words.

Saturday morning is as special time throughout the duration of my life. As a child the highlight of my week was waking up on saturday to watch what seemed like an eternity of the greatest cartoons ever assembeled. From Ice Man to Papa Smurf it was one amazing adventure after another until soul train came on.(which meant the fun was over) And now as an adult waking up before my wife and daughter, running to get breakfast before they awake to pancakes and biscuits and fresh coffee is one of my greatest joys. I wonder what saturday morning holds for me in the future. I can't wait to find out.

Last but not least, is Jesus. He never has and never will disappoint. His gift of life that extends to me from the cross that he died on will never let me down. His love is mine for the taking. I will often disappoint him, but he will always be there even when I think he should have dumped me along time ago. Jesus would have each of us this saturday morning know that he will never let us down.

So go grab a Dr. Pepper and thank God for his love and the Cartoon Network.

My Posting Promise

My posting promise is that I will not air my laundry dirty or otherwise on this blog. I will not use it as an opportunity to complain. I will not gripe or send out negativity into this world we live in. As you and I know there is plenty of that to go around.
So I will up lift the good. I will encourage, support and cheer on the good things of this world.
Secondly, I do not claim to be an expert in any area, so what I will talk about may very well not be worth your time. I will however, seek to support the goodness of God in this blog. If you need to hear about some of his goodness you will often find it here at least from my humble perspective. Even though I will lift up God and his kingdom with this blog I will sometimes escape into some of my other favorite topics such as my daughter, my bulldogs, or my golf game. If this offends you feel free to read no further.
Last but not least I claim God's grace through His son Jesus. I promise what is read on these pages will not dishonor who he is and how he loves us. My prayer is that God will use this blog as another tool to reach those in search of this Jesus I hold so dear. Be blessed now and always.

Test Run

I love the bull dogs, Jesus, and my family. Not necessarily in that order. Priorities are difficult sometimes. My relationship with Jesus comes first. If I am right with him other things will fall into place. My family is my next priority. My wife then my child. Then my ministry comes in some where after that. Way on down the list of importance is my UGA Bull Dogs. Again, this is just a test.
